Loving Hut is a vegan restaurant mainly specializing in Asian dishes. They also have Western dishes such as burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries.
There’s two in San Diego and a huge number of others all over the United States.
I’ve been here a few times and the reason is because I’m not totally in love with their food. The picture above is their spicy bun hue. It’s a rice noodle soup with soy chunks, soy slices, fried tofu, fresh king mushroom with mint, basil, bean sprouts, cilantro, and onion. It sounds great, but for some reason I wasn’t totally loving it. It wasn’t as flavorful as it sounds.
BUT for some odd reason, the person I am eating with always has something really good. Their pho is really yummy, eggplant tofu is pretty bomb, and their coco tofu is pretty good too. Oh, and of course all their variety of spring rolls are delicious. But how can you go wrong with those anyway? So I don’t really know why I seem to be picking all the whack ass dishes, but I might have to try this place again. (I believe in second chances.)
