I’m not sure what it is about street food, but no matter where it comes from it’s bomb AF.
I’m so excited that Curry Up Now is apart of Oakland Restaurant Week! I’ve been wanting to come here, but just haven’t had the opportunity. Curry Up Now is different from your typical Indian restaurant. They have fun dishes like chicken tikka masala burritos and deconstructed samosas. I love how flavorful and bold Indian food is and this place hit the spot!
For $30, you get samosas, two thali platters, gulab jalum, and chai tea or ginger- mint lemonade! It’s a pretty good deal and you get a ton of food! Luckily for me, I went with a bunch of my foodie friends and ordered more on top of their menu for Oakland Restaurant Week. It’s hard to say what was my favorite… The wings were tasty and spicy, the Hella Sexy fries were indeed sexy, and the mango lassi had the right amount of sweet and thickness!
